Detroit Speed - Archived Steering Gear Box - 090215DS

The Detroit Speed quick ratio steering gearbox provides modern late model steering performance similar to a rack & pinon with easy bolt-in installation. This steering box can replace the GM/Delphi 800 series or GM/Delphi 600 series power steering box. This steering box has a raw unpainted finish.

Note: This DSE steering box can replace the GM/Delphi 800 series power steering gearbox on 1964-1992 GM vehicles. This DSE steering box is a direct replacement for the GM/Delphi 600 series power steering gearbox. A steering shaft kit will be needed for the 1978-1988 G-Body and 1982-1992 Camaro/Firebird applications. Detroit Speed does offer a steering shaft kit (PN: 092519DS). If the car has manual steering, you will need a replacement power steering pitman arm (available from Detroit Speed, PN: 092301DS for 1967-1969 Camaro & 1968-1972 Nova). A 3/4 x 30 spline rag joint is required with this steering box and is available through Detroit Speed (PN: 090205DS). For 1978-81 Camaro/Firebird, you will need a stock replacement 2-3/4" OD rag joint. Detroit Speed hose kit (P/N: 091202DS) can be used with this steering box.
