In addition, this radiator is designed with a massive 2-row 2.2-in thick core, which provides substantial improvements in cooling efficiency. To supplement our robust radiator, we've included our incredibly durable silicone radiator hose kit. This Mishimoto Silicone Radiator Hose Kit is constructed from four layers of silicone with heat-resistant embedded fibers. This combination of materials provides substantially improved heat and pressure tolerance compared to the stock rubber hoses. In addition, our kit includes a CNC-machined aluminum quick-disconnect fitting, providing a considerable improvement in durability over the stock plastic unit.Rounding out this Essentials Bundle is our pair of thermostat sets for the 6.6L Duramax. The Mishimoto high-temperature thermostats hasten engine warmup making it ideal for use in cold climates. The Mishimoto low-temperature thermostats have a lower activation temperature compared to the factory thermostat. The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, reducing the risk of overheating in hot environments.
