SOLAR Battery Tester - BA427

The BA427 offers a complete testing solution for 6 and 12 Volt batteries and 12 and 24 Volt charging systems. With an operating range down to 1.5V, it can even test discharged batteries and features a testing capacity to 3000 CCA. Compatible with a wide variety of battery types, the BA427 is designed to test flooded, AGM flat plate, spiral wound, gel cell, start-stop AGM and enhanced flooded batteries. It features 10' cable leads, replaceable cable ends, temperature compensation and a convenient storage case. Compared to the BA327, it expands the testing range in several ways: 1.) it tests batteries to 3000 CCA (vs 2000), 2.) it allows for the attachment of a volt probe or amp clamp to expand the diagnostic capabilities of the tester, and 3.) it features a USB port to connect to a PC equipped with our battery management software for ongoing tracking of test results. It features an LCD display that offers a high level of detail throughout the testing process and improved viewing in bright sunlight. It also features reverse polarity protection to avoid damage from reverse hookups and over-voltage protection.

Note: Q Can this tester accurately test discharged batteries? A Yes. The tester can test batteries as low as 1.5V open circuit voltage.
